Game Changer: Planning Poker

I’ve had a question from Annika about Planning Poker. Planning Poker, also called Estimation Poker, is an estimation technique which balances group thinking and individual thinking to estimate relative sizes of User Stories or the effort required to develop them.

This was a game changer in my approach to estimating (thanks @BarbaraRoberts). The magic happens when we let the team decide, for those of us working remotely I’ve substituted the physical cards for apps, or for the real MVP experience - used the chat window to cast numbers.
